Who is Electric Confetti
Electric Confetti was born from a love and fascination with typography and illustration, particularly vintage signage and packaging. Creative director Natalie Jarvis was raised behind the counter of her father’s antique shop in New Zealand. This constant exposure to old-school packaging led to Natalie’s double major in art history and design at university. Soon after she forged a career in book publishing in Melbourne, Australia, Natalie worked as a children’s book designer and illustrator before becoming a freelance illustrator.
When decorating her eldest daughter’s nursery, Natalie went hunting for a neon light that would function as a night light, but all that was available were designs better suited to a man cave or fish N chip shop! In 2013, Natalie came across a then-new market product called LED neon. It was a robust and energy-efficient alternative to mercury-filled glass neon. While the team loves and appreciates what the glass has to offer, it’s the LED version that stood out as an accessible alternative without the fragile components. After two years of product design and development, Electric Confetti burst onto the market in 2015 with an inspired new interior product.
To keep up with the public’s craving for well-designed neon, Electric Confetti opened a neon studio in Brighton, Victoria, Australia to showcase their work to the public. Together, Electric Confetti is ahead of the game in trend-led design, working hard to make your neon dreams light up!
